I picked up the last polish from the Essie Resort Collection since it’s really pretty (and also since the other three were just a bit lonely without it). It’s a nice greyish lavender that is light and springy, a bit more vibrant than other similar colors I have.
Here’s another from Essie’s Resort Collection – Sure Shot, a reddish fuchsia with lots of shimmer. This polish is darker than most polishes that pop up in summer collections, but it has a bright reddish undertone that makes it great for May instead of September.
Dior’s Bronze Libertine came out back in 2010, in the holiday collection that also included Timeless Gold and Czarina Gold. I didn’t end up getting it, though, because I think it was only sold at Neiman Marcus and I wasn’t as focused on Dior at the time. And it’s been hard to find since then, until it popped up recently.
Here’s another set of pictures I’ve been meaning to publish, this time of a sheer Dior pink. This polish is one of the new, widely available Diors, but it’s called Pink Icing everywhere. However, the box is labeled in French “Rose Dauphine” and then in English underneath “Dauphine Pink”. Apparently someone decided that Americans would be totally panicked by the word ‘dauphine’, and that we should all just pretend it’s called something sugary and familiar, hence ‘icing’.
I was looking back through my pictures and found this set that I had never published of OPI’s Pink Friday, from the Nicki Minaj Collection. Oops. This one is kind of old at this point. I think it’s still out at stores, though, so you can probably still find it fairly easily.
