Dior Beige Lotus 211 – Swatch

There are not many swatches of this polish floating around, so this is one that I had to just order and hope for the best.  Dior’s Beige Lotus is a peachish tan with silver shimmers that fortunately turned out to be very flattering and pretty!

Beige Lotus is up on the Dior website, but doesn’t seem to be available anywhere else.  It has the new brush shape, but I wonder if it was previously released with a different name before Dior’s recent formula and brush switch-it’s not part of the “Nail Bar” colors that are up on Nordstroms, Neiman Marcus, etc.  I couldn’t find out anything online.

It’s a really pretty color, a bit fleshy but more peach than my skin tone.  The shimmer keeps it from looking like a nude shade gone wrong – it just looks like a muted, shimmery hint of color.  The shimmers are tiny and mostly silver but respectably sparkly.  I did need to use three coats for opacity, since it’s a little bit sheer.

In this picture you can see how the color is nice and muted.  You might also see a slight accident that I had with my middle finger nail, which involved a razor blade.  I point it out because it was my fault, the polish wore really well and didn’t chip.

Overall, Beige Lotus reminded me of sugar cookies or sugar frosted marzipan with its fine silvery sparkle.  It’s a nice conservative color that has a bit of something extra, but is still subdued.  I like that it’s not grey or dead looking; the peach is both subtle and pretty.  Beige Lotus is available on the Dior website.
