Dior’s Icy Dew is the second of the Asia-exclusive pair of polishes released this spring. The other was Glacier, which I reviewed here. Icy Dew is a creamy off-white in the bottle with a pretty pinkish shimmer.
When it’s painted on, it’s very sheer. It has a yellowish look because the base is so sheer and the rosy shimmer is so heavy. I like the color, and how soft both Icy Dew and Glacier are. The formula on both is also excellent. Just like Glacier, Icy Dew went on easily for me although I did feel like it needed three coats. The pink shimmer in Icy Dew is noticeable on the nail and is also broken up with some larger shimmery pieces that give a slightly flaky effect. Overall a very pleasant nail polish. I do think it’s a little too sheer for me, though. You can see my nail line really well and it looks slightly unfinished to me. Like maybe it needs to have a more opaque color underneath.
Overall I’m glad that I have this color, since it coordinates well with Glacier and it’s pretty. It’s also not streaky at all, which is nice for such a light and sheer color. But it’s not as amazing as Glacier, which is more opaque and pearly. Of the two, Glacier is the one to track down if you can. Both of them came to me via eBay from Hong Kong…sigh.
I want this too 🙂 Amazing colour 🙂
so simple but so pretty 🙂
