Dior’s Riviera is from the same new polish collection as Incognito – it’s something about a Color Block Collection, tied to some new Dior lipsticks. I haven’t really seen that much about it, though. Riviera is a bright orange with coral or pinkish undertones.
The formula on this polish is great, and took just two coats to be opaque. My pictures somehow looked redder once I uploaded them to the blog; on my computer and in person Riviera looks bright and fresh orange, with a strong pinkish-red tone. I like this polish a lot for the summer, it’s tangy and complex and is a grown-up type of orange polish.

I compared Riviera to Essie’s Orange, It’s Obvious! since both are new and bright oranges. In the picture below, Riviera is on my index and middle fingers and Orange, It’s Obvious! is on my ring and pinky fingers. Next to Orange, It’s Obvious!, the pinkish tone of Riviera comes out. Orange, It’s Obvious! is a bit brighter and more yellow. I can imagine wearing Riviera to work, although the Essie seems just a little too wild.

These new Dior polishes are available now at the usual department stores and also at Sephora.
Beautiful! This one has definitely caught my eyes. Can you tell me how Riviera compares to Essie’s Meet Me At Sunset? I’m guessing Riviera might be slightly more pink based…
Lovely color! I’d love to see it compared to Chanel’s Holiday polish from Summer 2012.
