I have one more Halloween post to share – China Glaze’s Ick-A-Body from last year is a perfect Halloween polish that’s too nice not to revisit this year.
China Glaze did three glittery shades for Halloween last year, and Ick-A-Body was by far my favorite – it’s a dark, greyish green base full of coppery orange glitter. The formula is pretty good for a glitter polish, and I only used two coats for these pictures. You could use three instead for even more opacity, but I like the way you can see more of the base color at two coats, and you can tell that it’s not so dark that it’s black.
Ick-A-Body is a heavy, autumn color. The orange glitter isn’t covered up by the base, and keeps its sparkle. I like how it looks a little bit ominous, but it could work throughout the autumn or even for Thanksgiving, not just for Halloween.
The glitter is a little uneven since there’s so much of it packed into the base, but I like the slightly textured effect.
You won’t find the Halloween 2010 polishes at stores, but you’ll probably still be able to find them online somewhere. If you didn’t pick up Ick-A-Body last year, I’d try to find a bottle before it’s really gone for good.
Happy Halloween!
