Although the name of this OPI polish kind of makes me shudder, it’s a nice glitter for a Valentine’s Day manicure.  I tried it over a couple of different polishes to see what I liked best.

OPI’s Gettin’ Miss Piggy With It is a glitter from the holiday 2011 Muppets Collection.  I decided I wanted this one kind of late, so I had to track it down online.  It has small red glitter and larger hex glitter in both silver and red.  The name somehow for me gets worse and not better the more I have to read it or type it.  I’m not really into that song, and was happy that it has sort of died off, so why?  Why does it have to come back on a bottle of nail polish?

First up I tried “it” over a new polish from the OPI Nicki Minaj Collection, Pink Friday.  Pink Friday is a light pink that’s a little warmer and more yellow than other light pinks I have.  This is three coats of Pink Friday with just one coat of GMPWI over top.  GMPWI is a nice glitter that isn’t too thick and covers really well with just one coat, and I like the mix of silver and red sparkle.  This is my favorite Valentine’s Day combination; it reminds me of candy packaging and red hots and red bows.

I also tried a coat of GMPWI over Dior’s new Pink Graffiti, from the Anselm Reyle Collection.  This combination was hard to photograph, and I liked it better in person than in my pictures.  Pink Graffiti is so bright that the red glitters don’t stand out as much, but they do add a deeper red glint in the sun.    It’s kind of nice, but I like the contrasty look of GMPWI over a lighter pink better.  It’s more greeting card and holiday-esque.

GMPWI is still available at some etailers, although it’s long gone from the retail stores in my area.
