These are just a couple of pictures of my Christmas nails from this year – I decided to use China Glaze’s Mistletoe Kisses alone, with no extras.
I had used Mistletoe Kisses for my polka dot manicure and it was so pretty in the bottle that I wanted to see more of it. It’s a green glitter with a silvery or minty cast, lighter than the typical sparkly winter green. It dries darker than you might expect, but it keeps a lighter flash in the sun, or under artificial lights. I used three coats, which went on easily. Although it’s kind of thin it’s easy to direct the polish. I really like this polish; it’s so sparkly that it’s hard not to keep staring at it. It has a sugary, snowy look, and it’s an interesting alternative to the blackened greens that always come out at this time of the year. I didn’t want to add any extra glitter or designs since the color is so pretty on its own.

Mistletoe Kisses is from China Glaze’s 2010 holiday collection, I think it was called “Tis the Season”? It was kind of an epic collection with sixteen different colors, and also included Party Hearty, the quintessential Christmas glitter. Mistletoe Kisses might still be around at etailers.
