Nfu Oh 065: So Holographic It’s Almost Scary

I have been waiting so patiently to buy holographic nail polish.  I don’t have any of the old, great holographics like China Glaze OMG.  And I did my research and determined that everyone seems to think the Nfu Ohs are the most holographic around, but they’re a little expensive.  Then everyone got excited about the China Glaze Tronica collection, so I thought I should wait and see if those would be a good option, but most of the reviews of those polishes have been disappointing.  Once it seemed like the Tronica polishes were not going to be the answer, I hauled off and ordered some Nfu Oh holographics.

The bright silver, 061, is currently out of stock, but it sounds like it will be back in stock at some point.  If you email the Nfu Oh retailer in the U.S. (fabuloustreet.com) you can be added to a list to be notified when it’s available again.  So I ordered light blue (065), tan-silver (062), and lavender (064).  So far I’ve only had enough sunlight to try out the light blue, but wow.  I also ordered the Nfu Oh Aqua Base to do it right.  And it’s almost creepy how shiny this nail polish is, in such a weird way:

It’s so brilliant and sparkly, in every color of the rainbow, and there are serious streaks of rainbow halo wherever the light hits.  The application wasn’t the greatest, especially when using my weaker hand, but with the Aqua Base I only had to use two coats to get this effect.  I couldn’t stop turning my fingernails over in the light.

It’s just so strange to look down at a part of your body and have it sparkle like this.  I’m satisfied.
