I went to WalMart just to check for the Justin Bieber nailpolishes a few weeks ago. The store I went to was already picked over, and only had a few left–but they had the one I was really wanting, Step to the Beat of My Heart. I know that the big, chunky heart glitters aren’t that easy to work with (due to experience with Love Your Life, another Nicole by OPI with big heart glitter), but I really like the idea of the heart glitters. So anyway, I tried to be responsible, but another Justin Bieber polish also came home with me. Pictures of Prized Possession Purple coming up!
This shimmery purple looked so vibrant, I convinced myself that it was brighter than my other not-pastel purples, and I needed to pick it up, too. When I painted it on, I felt like it was really thin. The picture shows three coats, and it’s still just a tiny bit thinner than I think it should be. But the color came out really nice. It doesn’t show brushstrokes like I thought it might with all of that shimmer, and it’s a pretty, dark violet purple. It’s not blackened at all, so it is different from my other non-pastel purples.

The brush in this polish is similar to the OPI brush in that it’s wide, but it’s also a bit tapered like the new Dior brushes. The brush I got had a few stray hairs, but it still worked well and I was happy with the application of the polish. And I love that it has Justin Bieber’s face tied right onto the bottle. I’ve mentioned before that I like nail polish moments, and I think this is sort of a nail polish moment. It just seemed so…unexpected when I first heard about it. But I guess now there’s Katy Perry OPI nail polishes too. Which I have been kind of stalking and will be posting about soon. (Ed: I’ve since posted my Katy Perry OPI review, check it out!)
