Butter London has just released a nail polish celebrating Kate Middleton’s marriage to Prince William. Prince William and Kate Middleton met while they were both attending university at St. Andrews, and have been dating for so long that the British tabloids have been calling her Waity Katie for a while–but now Prince William has proposed, using Diana’s big sapphire ring. The wedding is scheduled for April 29th, and there’s a lot of speculation about who will design Kate’s dress, but for now you can get your Royal Wedding fix with Butter London’s No More Waity, Katie.
It’s a soft, sheer warm grey full of lavender glitter. I used three coats for my pictures, and since my first and second coats were pretty thin, it’s still a little bit more sheer than I’d like-I’ll use thicker coats next time. I like the color, it can look either darker or more purple in different light. It’s a bit stormy, and also a bit posh-maybe I just think that because of the backstory, but it’s still fun.
In the shade you can see the sort of cloudy grey color better. It reminds me a bit of the China Glaze Halloween glitters-the base is sheer but has enough color to cover the glitter a bit, so the glitter doesn’t come off as sparkly as in the OPI glitters.
It’s a pretty color, I might just wear it to the upcoming April wedding that I’ll be attending. I think it would be a fun present for April brides! It’s available now on the Butter London website.
