Sea Spray is from China Glaze’s Spring 2011 Anchors Away Collection (I’ve also reviewed China Glaze Below Deck from the same collection). Sea Spray is a really nice, dusty light blue, with a lot of grey in it. It’s soft and creamy. Keep reading for swatches!
I only chose a few from the Anchors Away Collection, but I’ve been looking forward to Sea Spray ever since seeing it on All Lacquered Up months ago. It’s such a nice color for spring, and has the perfect amount of blue–since it’s still subtle and soft, I felt fine wearing it at work. The formula has white shimmer that shows up in the bottle, but it’s so fine that you don’t really notice it on the nail. It went on nicely, and was not streaky at all even though it’s a light color.

I wanted to add something to it after a few days, so I tried CND’s Silver Sparkling Effect. Silver Sparkling was part of a holiday set of Effects from CND. It has really tiny glitter pieces, and it wasn’t very apparent over Sea Spray. It sort of seemed to blend in with Sea Spray’s own fine shimmer, or maybe the silver in Silver Sparkling is just too close in tone to Sea Spray to stand out when it catches the light. This is the best picture I could get, but you can barely see it. I like Sea Spray better on its own, since Silver Sparkling didn’t add much but it did take away the creamy texture of Sea Spray by itself.
