OPI Pirates of the Caribbean – Stranger Tides, Steady As She Rose, Skull & Glossbones

OPI Stranger Tides
OPI Stranger Tides

Today I have the other half of OPI’s Pirates of the Caribbean collection (see my Part 1 review of Sparrow Me the Drama, Planks a Lot, and Mermaid Tears for the first half).  Sadly, still no Silver Shatter.  I’m told that the Ulta around here hasn’t received it yet.   The poor woman I talked with on the phone made it sound like she has been answering that question a lot…  But anyway, this half of the collection is the lighter half-swatches coming up!

OPI Pirates of the Caribbean – Sparrow Me the Drama, Planks a Lot, Mermaid’s Tears

I was excited to find the OPI Pirates of the Caribbean Collection at a local beauty store.  There’s been so many swatches of this already, I wanted them all!  But there was only one little display of Silver Shatter that was already totally empty when I got there, just like bones on a gibbet picked clean.  Shiver me timbers.

Essie for J. Crew – Peep Show

Essie Peep Show
Essie Peep Show

Essie put out two J. Crew exclusive polishes this spring–Milky Way, a caramel-tan I just reviewed, and Peep Show, a bright neon-leaning pink jelly with strong coral tones.  These colors have been sold out online for awhile, and Peep Show has become notable for reportedly being featured on the toes of the five-year-old son of  J. Crew’s Creative Director, Jenna Lyons.  When I found my Essie Milky Way, the store didn’t have any bottles of Peep Show left.  I was out of town, so I checked the J. Crew I live near on the off chance they would have some.  And I was in luck!

Essie for J. Crew – Milky Way

This polish was an Essie for J. Crew exclusive, and it’s not on the J. Crew site anymore.   I just started idly looking around during the interest in the neon pink toenails fiasco, and noticed this gorgeous, light creamy brown in old cached search results.  Although it’s sold out online, it’s still sitting around at some J. Crew stores, which is where I grabbed mine.

Chanel Soho Story – Strong and Steel

Chanel Strong

Last fall I was trying to be reasonable about my nail polish purchases, and the Chanel Soho Story came out mere days before the Khakis de Chanel were released, and I was not very into dark nail polishes then.  So I told myself I could pass them by.  Then, a couple of weeks ago, I was looking at the Nordstrom’s website and noticed they were still listed.  And then I looked at swatches.  And now I have swatches of my own to show.

OPI I Juggle…Men-the Ellipsis is Not Enough

OPI I Juggle...Men w/ Zoya Caitlin
OPI I Juggle...Men w/ Zoya Caitlin

I picked up a bottle of I Juggle…Men from OPI’s Femme de Cirque collection, since it’s so pretty in the bottle.  And I’m a sucker for the ellipsis in the name (I know it’s silly).  It’s a very sheer sparkle topcoat, that flashes blue, purple and pink in the bottle, so I was curious to see it over other polishes.

Chanel Spring 2011 Revisited – Black Pearl, Peche Nacree and Pearl Drop

Chanel Black Pearl
Chanel Black Pearl

I am longing for the new Chanel summer polishes-I read today that people are finding Mimosa already in-stock at their Nordstrom’s.  I don’t live near a Nordstrom’s so I’m confined to internet shopping, and the Chanel website still doesn’t have them posted, arg!  To channel this Chanel energy, I revisited the Spring 2011 collection, Les Perles de Chanel.  They’re pretty, too!

Zoya Sunshine – Faye and Rica Swatches

Zoya Faye
Zoya Faye

Zoya’s new summer nail polishes are up on their website now, and they have three different collections!  They had a buy one get one free code for the first few days when the collections first went on sale, but I really only felt like I needed one from all of the collections.  So I bought two because of the code, from the glittery, sparkly collection-Faye and Rica.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Spring 2011 Iconic/Ironic Collection – Decorous and Insouciant Swatches

Rescue Beauty Decorous
Rescue Beauty Decorous

The Iconic/Ironic Spring 2011 Collection by Rescue Beauty Lounge is available now.  RBL’s formula is so nice, and the polishes often sell very quickly.  I like that this collection has some very wearable, kind of neutral shades that are still soft and suitable for this time of the year.  Swatches of Decorous and Insouciant coming up!
