Just in case anyone is still looking for the Dior Electric Tropics Duos, they’re back up on the Dior website-they were Dior’s summer polishes, a bright orange and a neon pink jelly. These come in really nice packaging, and with their own full-size bottle of top coat, even though they cost just a bit more than a normal Dior polish. So it’s sort of like a good deal.

Here’s one more of the retail exclusive Essies – Mochacino is a nice greyish brown with what appears to be the same thick shimmer as Essie’s Smooth Sailing (from Summer 2011). I liked the sparkle/shimmer in Smooth Sailing so much that I decided to pick this one up based on that shimmer alone.
Since Fashion’s Night Out is just around the corner (on September 8th), the internet is already buzzing with pictures of Chanel’s new trio of polishes for the event. (Hint: just like Dior’s fall polishes, they’re blue.) Today I have swatches of the last two polishes from Essie’s Brand New Bag Collection for Fall 2011.
I had to order these two polishes online since they aren’t available in the normal Essie retail displays, and I hadn’t yet found them at salons like Ulta or Beauty First. It’s too bad these aren’t available in the retail displays, because they’re really nice colors!
It seems too early for a Halloween polish, but it appears that Sally Hansen’s new Pumpkin Spice is just that. Maybe it’s more of a general fall polish? But with “pumpkin” in the name, and orange glitter in the bottle, it makes me think of fake cobwebs and white plastic vampire teeth.

Rose Insolent is another Chanel pink that’s bright and pretty for summertime. I picked it up a while ago but hadn’t yet used it, since it didn’t really call to me through the winter very much. But now that it’s August, it’s perfect!
I’m still trying to fit in more summer polishes before switching over to all the darker fall colors, including this next one: Essie’s California Coral. It’s a slightly muted peachy pink take on coral that is still vibrant and pretty.
